Common questions

What is a delayed payment?
It is used when a crew member's payment amount is finalised but must be temporarily withheld from bank submission due to incorrect, incomplete, or unverified bank details.
How do I create a delayed payment?
In the Employer Site, View the vessel, go to the Payroll Provider tab, click the three dots next to the crew member and select Create Delayed Payment, enter a comment and Submit.
Can I change the amount while it's delayed?
No — while the payment is on hold, the payment amount cannot be modified.
How do I release a delayed payment?
View Delayed Payment, click Release Payment, enter the authorization code sent to your email, update the payment type and bank details, review and Submit. Another user must then approve it before it goes to the bank.
Why is an email authorization code required?
Releasing a delayed payment is a control point — it requires an emailed authorization code and a second approver, so build in time for both before the expected pay date.
Delayed vs held payment — what's the difference?
A delayed payment is for a finalised amount blocked by bank-detail problems; a held payment stops a payment for review or before the amount is finalised.
